CALL FOR PAPERS
Workshop on Soft Computing for Recommender Systems
http://www.cwi.ugent.be/isda2009/index.php
November 30 - December 2, 2009, Pisa, Italy
This workshop is part of the Conference ISDA'09 (http://cig.iet.unipi.it/isda09/).
Organizers:
* Chris Cornelis, Universiteit Gent (Belgium), chris.cornelis@ugent.be
* Germán Hurtado, Universiteit Gent (Belgium), german.hurtadomartin@ugent.be
* Patricia Victor, Universiteit Gent (Belgium), patricia.victor@ugent.be
* Carlos Porcel, Universidad de Jaén (Spain), cporcel@ujaen.es
* Enrique Herrera-Viedma, Universidad de Granada (Spain), viedma@decsai.ugr.es
Recommender systems have gained tremendous importance in e-commerce applications
as a way to suggest items a user might be interested in. In order to accurately
predict how much a user will like a given item, intelligent systems taking into
account both content-based as well as collaborative information are required.
In this workshop, we welcome original work that uses soft computing techniques
to this purpose.
The topics for the workshop include but are not limited to:
* Soft computing based recommendation algorithms
* Case studies and real world applications
* Recommender system evaluation
* Trust-based metrics and methods
* User profile modeling
* Social network analysis
* Personalization
Important Dates:
* Submission Deadline: May 31, 2009
* Author notification: July 25, 2009
* Camera-ready due: September 15, 2009
* Conference days: November 30 -- December 2, 2009
For more information please visit http://www.cwi.ugent.be/isda2009/index.php and
