On the KDD Cup 2007 web site it says that:
Accepted papers will appear in the workshop proceedings. Authors of these papers are required to present their papers at the workshop. A smaller set of selected papers will also be published in the December 2007 issue of SIGKDD Explorations.
Will it be possible for people who cannot attend the conference to get a copy of the workshop proceedings and/or papers soon after the workshop? If so, how? (I could not find an answer to this question on the web site).
Making those papers available in some way would certainly help to maintain a "level playing field" for everyone who is competing.

In addition to this I was wondering if any of the presentations will be recorded and made available online, in a similar vain to the google tech talks (see http://research.google.com/video.html), of which I'm a big fan.

The papers will be made available on the web the day of the workshop (August 12th). There is no plan to videotape the presentations.
